
Helen Zhang, MSc
Helen joined Symmetron while completing a thesis project for her Master’s degree in Health Data Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her MSc thesis project focuses on using mutation-rich approaches to assess the association of certain mutational signatures in Mycobacterium Tuberculosis genome and reduced treatment efficacy. In addition, Helen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Major Pharmacology and Minor Mathematics from McGill University in Canada. During her time at McGill, she contributed to a neuropsychology project studying microbiome communities in depression patients. Helen is passionate about evidence-based medicine, especially its applications in drug discovery and development in a wide range of therapeutic areas.
